Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

DEI Council Mission Statement

In principle and in practice, Civista Bank values and seeks inclusion and diversity within our organization and within our communities.  Civista is committed to providing a welcoming and equitable environment with opportunities for engagement and employment and business relationships regardless of an individual’s age, ethnicity, gender identity, national origin, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or veteran or military status.

Sasha Roberts, DEI ChairmanSASHA ROBERTS, ChairPerson

I joined the DEI council to engage in meaningful, albeit challenging, conversations about the human experience. Understanding that we each come from different backgrounds we can build strong relationships. These can be made even more impactful when courageous conversations
are encouraged.

Why DEI Council? I believe education, inclusion and communication can make a difference in bridging differences. As an organization our community responsibility is to include all in financial literacy, communicating the possibilities that a community bank can bring both jobs and careers. I believe strongly that mentoring internally and offering opportunities internally will build strong relationships and long term employees. Listening, communication and respect to all can make a difference.

Autumn Albright, DEI Secretary

Why DEI? I am looking forward to the opportunity to share my passion for others and help develop a plan that all people feel welcome, equal and have a voice in our workplace and the communities we serve.
