Richard J. Dutton joined the company in 2006 as executive vice president of Civista Bank and senior vice president of the holding company. He was named Civista Bank's chief operating officer in 2013.

From 2002 to 2006, he served as vice president and treasurer of Peoples Ohio Financial Corp and had a 17-year career in public accounting with BKD, LLP (and predecessors) prior to 2002. Dutton received his B.S. degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University.
